There is home-cooking… and there is restaurant cooking… and there is industrial level cooking. Being a manufacturing guy throughout my career I love to see how food is made on a large scale. Every once in a while I find a cool video that shows that process for the things we love to eat. Think of this area as a “How Its Made” but for food.

Food Engineering… Is that a thing?

Yes it is. We all love to think that each and every bit of food we eat is made by someones grandma in a cute little kitchen. The reality is that large scale food production is accomplished by a team of talented engineers and scientists who can take a recipe developed by chefs and make it available to us in large quantities.
